What Pushed Me to Start My Own Beauty & Spa Service — The Story of my Struggles

Skincare has been an important part of my life ever since I was a little girl. Taking long baths and applying lotion regularly to my face and body was a must. As I grew older, I started investing in more luxurious skincare items and facial products. My bath time routine was and is no less than 30 minutes long (you gotta treat your skin right!).

I always loved the idea of pampering myself and skincare has been the most royal form of pampering that I love for myself. I love the skin that I so confidently walk in and take the utmost pride in taking great care of it.

Well, I grew up for the most part in Charlotte. I had really bad hormonal acne at 32 and nothing the dermatologists prescribed seemed to work for me so I started doing my own research.

After spending hours on my laptop, looking for solutions and remedies to get rid of the big cloud of dilemma hovering right over me, I started to give in to the belief that nothing was going to work for me.

It wasn’t until I fell into the Korean skincare rabbit hole one night that I found that tiny ray of hope ignited into the pit of my heart again. The Korean skincare routine fascinated me to my very core and gave me an insight into a whole world of unique skincare routines and ingredients that I was not previously aware of.

I gave one of their brands a try and believe me when I say, that while you would expect the complete opposite, those holy grail products work better than what is being shown- that’s rare, I know!

Through this journey of testing and trying, I found products that actually worked for my skin tone and type which was such a surprise for me. Gone were the days of crying in front of a mirror as I scrutinized my skin. No more pimples, no more hyperpigmentation, and no more scars. I was finally ready- ready to return to the world what it had given me!

What I Envision

Clearing my skin gave me back my confidence and I want to help others, who might think there are no solutions for their skin issues because it’s a darker hue, achieve that!
